Memphis woman threatens to shoot roommate over key

24-year-old Alexis Ball was charged with aggravated assault after being involved in an altercation with her roommate about missing money where she then pointed a gun at her saying “You ain’t gonna leave without me getting this key you’re gonna get shot”, per report.

On May 4th, Officer McClinton arrived at 4828 N. Winchester Square for a report of aggravated assault. The victim, Ashley Short, told police that she had an altercation with her roommate Alexis Ball over a missing $400 from her room. Short decided to move out so she started packing when Ball said, “if you wanna leave, leave my key.”

As Short was packing her vehicle she said that Ball approached her with a pistol in her waist insisting that “you ain’t gonna leave without me getting this key you’re gonna get shot.” Short tried to calm her but Ball warned her that she needed the key or Ball will shoot her again. Ball told police that she had a handgun but never pointed it. Police placed Ball into custody and transported her to Jail East.

Alexis Ball was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. She was later released on her own recognizance.
