Woman opens fire on man at gas station “because he was throwing bottles and rocks” at her

49-year-old Clayton Danyell was charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon after she admitted to firing three shots at a gas station because the man threw bottles and rocks at her, per report.

On August 7th, officers were dispatched to an aggravated assault call at Gems Gas Station at 2756 Getwell Road. When officers arrived, they made contact with Danyell Clayton who advised she fired three rounds from her 9mm Taurus. While on the scene, officers located Lee Fifer who advised he was shot at by Clayton. Investigation revealed that shots were fired from the driver side of a white 2005 Chevrolet Impala which was in the possession of Clayton at the time. Also on the scene officers located three 9 mm shell casings. Investigators retrieved the video evidence.

Fifer was viewed several feet behind the Chevrolet and appeared to have thrown objects in the direction of the vehicle. it was at this time Clayton exited the driver side of the Impala with the gun and pointed it at the direction of Fifer. Clayton is observed giving a brief foot chase firing at the direction of Fifer. Also in the video, it showed Clayton firing over the heads of a pedestrian which was in crossfire of Fifer. As Fifer ran, Clayton tracked his movement and continued fire the gun as Officers say without regard to the safety of society.

Clayton Danyell was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. Her bond was set at $20,000.
