Man charged after Memphis Police hit the jackpot on a search warrant

32-year-old O W Williams was charged with three counts of possession with intent, two counts of theft of property, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony after Memphis Police executed a search warrant at his home.

On March 13th, the Memphis Organized Crime Unit executed a search warrant on a residence of O W Williams at 1946 Willow Wood Avenue. On arrival, authorities immediately detained O W Williams, Marion Blue, and Ebonye Bess. Officers noted there were 8 children between the ages of 3-11 inside that were released to their paternal grandmother Sandra Rudd. According to the affidavit, detectives began searching the home after the suspects had been detained.

Detective Scott searched the northeast bedroom and found an unsealed bag containing 2 smaller bags of marijuana, an unsealed vacuum bag containing meth, an empty vacuum-sealed bag, a black bag containing a clear bag of marijuana, a plastic bag containing meth, a mason jar containing marijuana, 7.62mm ammunition, a Smith & Wesson 9mm loaded with 6 rounds that had been reported stolen, and 5 miscellaneous loaded magazines.

Detective Bond searched the northwest bedroom and found 70 white pills marked with GG249 and 4 yellow pills marked with R039, a small bag of meth, 2 flip phones, a vacuum sealer, and 6 loaded AR magazines. Inside the closet, Detective Scott found a loaded Norinco rifle and a loaded American Tactical rifle. On the closet floor, Detectives Bond and Myers found a Sentry Safe that contained a vacuum-sealed bag of marijuana, $13,921 in cash, a Desert Eagle .44 loaded with 9 rounds, a Glock 19 with an extended magazine loaded with 33 rounds, 2 empty Glock magazines, a sealed bag of marijuana, and 2 car titles.

Detective Dunn searched the master bedroom and found a bowl of marijuana underneath the dresser. Detective Bond also searched the kitchen and found 9mm 50-round magazines, a box of .38 special ammo, extended pro magazine 9mm, two 100-round magazines, a box of .45 ammo, and 2 cell phones. Detectives Bond and Atkins then went outside and searched an Infiniti M35 that was parked in the driveway, where they found an empty magazine, a pill grinder, and a stolen Springfield Armory 9mm that was loaded.

All three suspects were taken into custody where they waived their rights and agreed to give statements. O W Williams gave a written statement admitting that all narcotics and weapons found belonged to him. Ebonye Bess admitted she was aware that O W had narcotics and weapons in the home. Marion Blue told officers he had no knowledge of anything that was in the home.

O W Williams was arrested and charged with three counts of possession with intent, two counts of theft of property, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony. His bond was set at $100,000.
