22-year-old Kadara Dodson was charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon, and vandalism after she pointed a firearm at a woman and threatened her life while her sister stabbed a different woman.
On October 18th, Memphis Police Detective Black was dispatched to 4891 Summit Ridge Drive in reference to a stabbing. Detective Black spoke with multiple witnesses who stated Decara Jones and some of her family, which included Kadara Dodson her sister, showed up at the residence and attempted to start a fight with her baby daddy’s family.
According to the affidavit, Decara Jones stabbed Rovella Taylor twice hitting her leg with one and puncturing her lung with the other. After the stabbing, her sister Kadara began to wave a gun around and ultimately pointed it at April Kibbler stating, “I’ll kill you.” As the sisters and their family proceeded to flee in their vehicle’s Kadara fired two rounds from the front passenger seat that struck Kibbler’s vehicle. The incident was reportedly caught on video from two separate sources. Kadara was later identified in a six-person photo lineup by Kibbler.
On October 19th, Kadara Dodson was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon, and vandalism. She was later released on her own recognizance.
