Man walks out with trash cans full of merchandise from Family Dollar

26-year-old Raheem Wilkins was charged with theft of property after he walked into a Family Dollar, filled up two trash cans with cleaning supplies, and then walked out.

On February 10th, officers responded to a theft call at Family Dollar on Frayser Boulevard. Employee Kevin Williams advised officers that a male entered the store acting like a shopper. This person grabbed two trash cans off the shelf and filled them with random cleaning products and walked out of the store.

The stolen items had a value of $72. During the investigation, officers identified the man as Raheem Wilkins. On February 21st, employee Kevin Williams was able to identify Raheem out of a 6-person photo line up. The incident was also recorded on the store’s security footage.

On February 25th, Raheem Wilkins was arrested for Theft of Property.
