Convicted felon points a weapon at his girlfriend’s head and threatens to kill her

61-year-old Robert Shaw was charged with aggravated assault and convicted felon in possession of a firearm after he was reported for pointing a gun registered to his girlfriend to her head and threatening to kill her, per report.

On May 15th, officers arrived at 618 Shawnee for a shots fired call to see the defendant, Robert Shaw, in a Kia Optima attempting to flee the scene and was immediately detained. When they made contact with the victim, Marilyn Sanders. She told police that her boyfriend, Shaw, who lives with her pointed a gun at her.

They found a 9mm Ruger in the console of the vehicle that is registered to Sanders. Witness, Antanisha King, advised police that she saw Shaw point the weapon at Sanders’ head and threaten to kill her. Shaw was then placed into custody and transported to the Felony Response office when they found out that he is a convicted felon for theft of property in 2008.

Robert Shaw was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and convicted felon in possession of a firearm. His bond was set at $50,000.
