48-year-old Christopher Raymond Brown was observed circling the Winchester Road Lowes parking lot in his black GMC Sierra with an inoperable driver’s side brake light around 11 a.m. on May 26th. Deputies initiated a traffic stop and approached the truck, during which Brown gave them his license and advised them that he did not have insurance. He then admitted to having narcotics in a green box inside the truck, so they detained him. During a subsequent search of the Sierra, they discovered 15 grams of marijuana, one large rock weighing 3.6 grams of methamphetamine, and several cigars with marijuana. Brown was taken into custody for simple possession of marijuana and felony possession of methamphetamine.
Christopher Raymond Brown of Shannon Lane Atoka, TN, was booked into the Shelby County Jail on May 26th, charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance. A judicial commissioner set his bond at $20,000.
