27-year-old Haley Jean Dawson was taken into custody for aggravated assault on May 20th. On April 10th, Brittney Capps filed a police report, stating that she was in the front yard of her Macon Road residence when she noticed Dawson riding passenger as her brother drove a red Dodge Dart slowly by her home. Capps stated she then heard a gunshot from the car and noted she saw Dawson call her a “stupid bitch.” Capps added that the occurrences started after an affair occurred between Dawson and Capps’ husband that has since ended. Additionally, on April 8th, Dawson posted on Facebook with Capps’s address stating, “in case anyone wants a free shooting range.” Also, she uploaded multiple posts on her Facebook page named “Catchin Plays” of Capps, some without clothing. Dawson acquired the photos from Capps’ husband’s phone during their affair. On April 25th, Capps identified Dawson in a six-person lineup and advised that she wanted to press charges. Dawson was later detained for the incident on May 20th.
Haley Dawson of Wiley Drive Munford, TN, was booked into the Shelby County Jail on May 20th, charged with aggravated assault. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $25,050.
