24-year-old Makayla Kinnion was caught cashing a fraudulent check on October 16th, 2023, at Easy Money on Getwell Road. On the mentioned date, Kinnion entered the business and cashed a check for $803.91. On October 16th, it was discovered that the check was returned for being fraudulent. A copy of Kinnion’s license and a picture of her cashing the check was provided to law enforcement. On December 8th, Kinnion was identified as the person who cashed the fraudulent check in a six-person photo lineup. Makayla Kinnion was later taken into custody and charged with theft of property on May 21st.
Makayla Kinnion of Nonconnah Road Memphis, TN, was booked into the Shelby County Jail on May 21st, charged with theft of property and forgery. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $25,000.
