23-year-old Nickeya Echols was caught giving law enforcement fake information on May 21st regarding a case of assault on April 23rd. After being informed of her rights, Echols gave officers a statement admitting that she initiated a false report concerning the incident. Echols stated that her girlfriend, Kiara Harris, who she initially blamed for the original incident, did not stab her. Nickeya Echols was taken into custody and charged with false reporting.
Nickeya Echols was booked into the Shelby County Jail on May 21st, charged with false offense report. She was released on her own recognizance .
