Booster Jaqueshia Rubin caught stealing $596 worth of electronic door locks from Home Depot

On April 29th, 45-year-old Jaqueshia Rubin was caught stealing from Home Depot on Giacosa Place. When officers arrived, they spoke with Chris Anderson, who works in loss prevention. Anderson stated that on April 19th, a couple who entered together could be seen using plastic bags, placing electronic door locks into them, and walking out of the store. The stolen items were valued at $596. Officers observed video and photo evidence of the repeat shoplifters, and their investigation started. Officers identified the couple on April 29th as the shoplifters. Anderson also confirmed that they were the shoplifters when officers brought them back to the store. Rubin was taken into custody for theft on May 6th.

Elayna Simpson threatens to hurt boyfriend’s wife during altercation

On October 23rd, 2023, 28-year-old Elayna Simpson was seen threatening Guadalupe Escobar, her boyfriend’s wife, at Escobar’s Montgomery Street residence. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Escobar, who stated that Simpson had come to her house and started threatening her. Escobar said she believed Simpson was going to harm her. Escobar then stated she asked Simpson to leave the property, but Simpson refused. When Simpson finally left the scene, she began texting Escobar rude messages and refused to stop when asked. On April 19th, 2024, Escobar gave a recorded statement describing facts and identifying Simpson from a photo lineup as the individual who intimidated and harassed her. Simpson was taken into custody on May 6th, 2024, for assault.

Beatriz Delarosa flees after hitting 2-year-old child with her Ford F-150

26-year-old Beatriz Delarosa was arrested for fleeing the scene after hitting and injuring a two-year-old child near Lamar Avenue. On May 1st, a critical hit and run occurred where a Ford F-150 struck a 2-year-old child pedestrian and fled the scene. During the investigation, officers found Delarosa to be the driver of the F-150. On May 7th, Delarosa came to the traffic office and provided a typed statement admitting to being the driver of the F-150. She also stated that she had no driver’s license or insurance. Delarosa was taken into custody for driving without a license on May 7th.

Dynasia Bryant charged with identity theft after $2636 worth of fraudulent purchases

On December 11th, 2023, 26-year-old Dynasia Bryant was caught using fraudulent card information at Utley Orthodontist on Germantown Bend CV. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Kevin Utley, the Orthodontist who met with Bryant regarding dental work, and claimed that Bryant made a $950 down payment using a debit card, but the payment had been disputed. Utley then stated that he was contacted by a bank advising that the card used belonged to Summer Kelley, and she did not authorize the payment.

The bank then provided documentation showing that 12 fraudulent charges were made to Kelley’s card in numerous stores, totaling $2636.26. Documents also show a shipping address was matched to be Bryant Cottage Oaks residence. On January 29th, 2023, Utley identified Bryant as the one paying for the services. Officers spoke with Kelley on January 7th, 2024, and she stated she did not know Bryant and did not authorize the transactions. Bryant was taken into custody on May 6th, 2024, and was charged with theft, fraudulent use of a card, and identity theft.

Ashley Tinnon strangles daughter after argument at Ridgeway Commons Apartment

39-year-old Ashley Tinnon was involved in a domestic incident with her daughter, Kayla Allen, at a Ridgeway Commons Apartment residence. When officers arrived Allen advised that she and Tinnon had gotten into an argument because Tinnon’s car had been left empty with no gas. Allen informed officers that the argument escalated, and Tinnon proceeded to grab her, putting her into a chokehold. Officers noticed the injuries on Allen’s neck and took photographs. Officers then spoke with Tinnon, who stated that she and Allen did get into an argument, admitting that she did strangle her daughter because she was throwing things around the house. Officers deemed Tinnon to be the primary aggressor and took her into custody for Domestic assault.

Dorotheia Taylor pepper sprays ex-boyfriend after seeing him with current girlfriend

On May 2nd, 31-year-old Dorotheia Taylor was involved in a domestic incident with her ex-boyfriend, Carlon Ware, at a First Horizon Bank near Lamar Avenue. Officers arrived on the scene and spoke with Ware, who stated that as he and his girlfriend, Courtney Lasota, were walking out of the bank, Taylor blocked her vehicle in front of them.

Ware then stated that while he was getting into his vehicle, Taylor opened his door, sprayed him with pepper spray, and scratched him in the face. Ware then claimed that when he finally got in the vehicle, Taylor sideswiped the passenger side of his car.  Officers then spoke with Lasota, who stated that while Ware was attempting to get in the vehicle, Taylor sprayed him with pepper spray and hit him in the face with her nails. Officers proceeded to take Taylor into custody and charged her with vandalism and domestic assault.

Tiffany Roads throws away man’s clothes after he breaks up with her

20-year-old Tiffany Roads was caught stealing from a Forest Hill Court Apartment residence on May 5th. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Kyron Wright, who stated he broke up with Roads and told her to come get all her belongings from his home. Wright claimed that Roads proceeded to take 30 shirts, 10 pairs of pants, and several pairs of men’s underwear that belonged to him in addition to her own items. Wright proceeded to text her asking for his property, to which she replied that she had thrown them away. Wright showed this to officers, and Roads admitted to throwing his items in the trash. Wright then gave a statement and Roads was taken into custody on May 6th and was charged with theft.

Caprice Brown hits boyfriend multiple times during argument

29-year-old Caprice Brown had a domestic altercation with her boyfriend, Kevin Fitzpatrick, at her Atwater Lane residence on April 27th. During a walk-in at Ridgeway Station, Fitzpatrick stated that he and Brown argued, during which she hit him multiple times, leaving bruising and scratches on his face, chest, and head. Brown was then taken into custody for domestic assault on May 6th.

Tkeyah Woods uses a baseball bat and brick to bust windows out GMC Envoy

30-year-old Tkeyah Woods was seen vandalizing property near Watkins Street on March 18th. Woods allegedly went to the residence with others to confront Brian Burrows over a disagreement, but he fled the scene on foot. Woods then proceeded to use a baseball bat and bricks to break all the windows to Brian Burrow’s GMC. On April 11th, Officers interviewed Burrows, who verified the events, admitting to fleeing for safety. Burrows also stated that when he returned, he was advised by a family member that Jayda Woods, Patricia Woods, and Tkeyah Woods had broken all the windows on his vehicle costing him $912. On April 18th, Officers interviewed Antonio Burrows, Brian Burrows’s brother, who stated that he was inside the residence when they arrived. Antonio also stated he heard the disturbance and looked outside, and that’s when he noticed Woods smashing the windows of the GMC. Officers interviewed Antonio and successfully identified Woods in a Six-person lineup. Woods was taken into custody for Vandalism.
