33-year old Jessica Doyle and 25-year-old Jasmine ‘Juicy’ Sikes were charged with theft of property after a short joyride in one of the vehicles gets them caught in a hotel parking lot.
On February 25th, Memphis Police were called to the Marathon gas station on Lamar Avenue. Upon arrival, John Barnes reported to officers that his 2006 Volkswagen Jetta with Mississippi tags was stolen by a woman named Jessica. At the time, the vehicle was valued by NADA at $3,900.
On March 11th, Memphis Police officers were called to 4042 Willow Road. Upon arrival, David Edmond reported to officers that his 2017 Mercedes-Benz E300 with Mississippi tags was stolen from his driveway. Edmond said he was at the residence with 2 women – one he knows only as ‘Juicy’ and the other he knows as Jessica. At the time, the vehicle was valued by NADA at $29,400. Roughly 30 minutes later, officers found the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E300 with matching tags at the Garden Inn located at 3419 American Way. The vehicle was occupied by Jessica Doyle, who was driving, and Jasmine Sikes in the passenger seat. Officers placed both women into custody for further investigation. David Edmond went to the station to provide a written statement and he positively identified both women in a photo lineup.
Jessica Doyle was Mirandized, where she waived her rights and admitted to stealing both vehicles. Jasmine Sikes was also Mirandized, where she waived her rights and admitted to stealing the 2017 Mercedes-Benz E300.
Jessica Doyle was arrested and charged with 2 counts of theft of property. Her bond was set at $20,000. Jasmine ‘Juicy’ Sikes was arrested and charged with theft of property. Her bond was set at $10,000.
