24-year-old Jalon Williams was charged with aggravated assault after he followed a woman out of Save-A-Lot and pointed his gun at her and threatened to kill her.

On February 25th, Officer Hailey was notified of an aggravated assault involving Kina Rayford who reported that Jalon Williams pointed a gun at her and threatened to kill her. A few days prior on February 20th, Kina Rayford was at Save-A-Lot and noticed Jalon was also at the store with his mother. Kina told officers that she wasn’t concerned until Jalon started following her from the store. She told officers that Jalon followed her in his vehicle and then pulled in front of her to block her in at Bellwood Drive and Yale Road.

Kina said he then confronted her about bullying his mother and proceeded to say that he was going to “kill her” while pointing a gun at her. Kina stated she was in fear of her life but was successful in leaving the scene without any further issue. Kina went to OAS and gave them a written statement and was able to pick out the defendant in a photo lineup. The OAS task force then picked up Jalon to give a statement and was later placed into custody.

Jalon Williams was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault. His bond was set at $20,000.
