21-year-old Ruben Ferguson was charged with arson when investigators determined a fire in his apartment was started intentionally. The report states that he admitted to kindling the blaze that originated in the bathroom.
On June 15th, Memphis Police and Fire Department responded to a fire at the Village Green Apartments on 6199 Sagebrush Lane. According to the affidavit, the fire began in the bathroom of Apartment #3.
After investigators determined the fire had been set intentionally, officers say Ruben Ferguson admitted to lighting the blaze.
Ruben Ferguson was arrested and charged with arson. He was later released on his own recognizance.
