29-year-old Kieara Wright was charged with aggravated assault after her and four other individuals caused head and face injuries to Ashley Barnett and Tevante Nichols. Wright reportedly attacked Nichols with an unknown black object that triggered his transportation to Methodist North Hospital, per report.
On May 29th, officers were dispatched to 948 Water Lily Tr in regards to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, law enforcement made contact with Tevante Nichols, who informed officers that he was assaulted by Lawrence Wright and his baby’s mother, Kieara Wright. Nichols claimed that others were involved in the assault, but was unable to remember who they were due to losing consciousness during the attack.
According to the affidavit, Wright struck Nichols with an unknown black object. The assault was confirmed by Ashley Barnett, who told law enforcement that Lawrence Wright, Kieara Wright, Kieara’s mother, and an additional unidentified female attacked Nichols. Nichols’ injuries were severe enough to be given medical attention at Methodist North Hospital. Barnett also claimed to have been punched in the face during the incident.
Barnett and Nichols verified together that Wright had called for her family, leading to the attack on the duo by the five individuals. Barnett was given a photo-line up later on and identified Wright as the person accountable for assaulting herself and Nichols.
Kieara Wright was arrested and charged for aggravated assault. Her bond was set at $3,000.
