44-year-old Louis Wilkins was charged with domestic assault after his girlfriend called the authorities on him for trapping her in a room hitting her and spraying her with bleach. He claimed he was just cleaning up.
On June 6th, Officers Muetze and Lawson were called to an assault at 1195 Smith Avenue. According to an affidavit, Wanda Everett told authorities that during an argument with her boyfriend Louis Wilkins he had trapped her in a room by barricading the door with boxes.
Wilkins also pushed, slapped, and sprayed Everett with bleach. Wilkins told officers he was simply cleaning the room. No medical treatment was required and no injuries were observed. The report noted that Wilkins had an open warrant for a parole violation.
Louis Wilkins was arrested and charged with domestic assault. His bond was set at $7,500.
