“Hell hath no fury”: Aggravated ex shoots handgun at former boo and his new flame

24-year-old Shakenya Jenkins was charged with two counts of aggravated assault when she busted shots at her ex-boyfriend and his new girlfriend while chasing them in her vehicle, per report.

On July 15th, Eric Blount and his current girlfriend, Jodi Butler, were in the parking lot at the Memphis Inn on 4879 American Way when Blount’s ex-girlfriend, Shakenya Jenkins, arrived and started a confrontation. Blount and Butler left the motel to avoid confrontation, but Jenkins began to tail them. Blount claims that Jenkins pointed a gun at them in his vehicle and fired several shots as both vehicles were leaving the parking lot.

Both Eric and Jodi said that they heard something striking the vehicle as they tried to escape. When Blount arrived at Hickory Hill Road and Winchester where he was able to get the attention of a Memphis Police officer. As Jenkins followed Blount to the intersection, officers observed what appeared to be entry and exit bullet holes in the rear door of the vehicle. Officers then located a black and blue Taurus pistol underneath Shakenya‘s seat. The pistol was seized and tagged and Jenkins was taken into custody and brought to Jail East by the responding officers.

Shakenya Jenkins was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault. She is jailed in lieu of a $65,000 bond.
