Further investigation revealed the vehicle to be stolen and Smith’s license to be suspended since February due to a failure to file a certificate of insurance. Following confirmation of the vehicle being stolen, the Sportage was towed to the Memphis city lot. The NADA estimated value of the SUV to be $18,100.

Notosha Smith was arrested and charged with driving with a suspended license and theft of property. She was later released from custody on her own recognizance.
