Woman bites boyfriend’s bicep over dispute about money

20-year-old Talia Garaffa was charged with domestic assault when she bit her boyfriend on the bicep in an argument over money and then made several accusations incriminating him after being taken into custody.

On August 25th, Deputies Conners and Seeman responded to a domestic violence simple assault at 6955 Gallop Drive. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with Tyree Hervey who stated that he and his girlfriend, Talia Garaffa, were in an argument over money. Tyree advised the altercation turned physical when Talia bit him on his left bicep. Deputies stated that they observed a bite mark on his bicep.

Deputies made contact with Talia after taking Tyree’s statement and she confirmed they had been in a verbal argument. She further admitted to biting his bicep during their argument. Deputy Conners took Talia into custody and while in custody she made several conflicting statements that she had been assaulted by Tyree. Deputies did not observe any signs of physical injury to Talia.

Talia Garaffa was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. She was later released on her own recognizance.
