“Kingstaccs” and team steal over $60,000 in products from City G.E.A.R.

29-year-old Keith “Kingstaccs” Hamer was charged with burglary, vandalism, and theft of property after he and several others ripped the doors off of City G.E.A.R. and made off with over $60,000 worth of merchandise.

On June 2nd, Memphis Police arrived at City G.E.A.R, 2926 Lamar Avenue, in response to a burglary call. Assistant Manager Melissa Williams told police the business was closed when a black SUV pulled up to the front doors, hooked a chain to them, and pulled them off of the storefront. Several people entered the business, stealing $60,314.30 in merchandise and doing over $10,000 in damage to the store itself. During the investigation, Keith Hamer became one of the suspects regarding the occurrence at City G.E.A.R.

On September 4th, Keith Hamer came to Airways Station General Investigation Bureau for further investigation. He waived his rights and provided a statement that he did enter City G.E.A.R. through the breached storefront and stole merchandise.

Keith Hamer was arrested and charged with burglary of a building, vandalism, and theft of property. His bond was set at $10,000.
