Man Punches girlfriend in the face for upsetting him

28-year-old Timothy Rankins was charged with domestic assault after striking his girlfriend in the face because he was angry at her for trying to go stay in a hotel with her sisster.

On September 3rd Officer S. Dickerson responded to a simple assault at 1461 Briercrest lane. Porshea Bouie explained to officers that her boyfriend of eight years, Timothy Rankins, physically assaulted her. Porshea began stating that Rankins became upset because she wanted to go to a hotel with her sister. As she attempted to drop Rankins off at home he began to argue with her and then Rankins hit her with his fist which resulted in a fight.

Bouie managed to separate from Rankins then made a call to law enforcers. When the officers made it to the scene they found Rankins admitted to assaulting Bouie. She filled out a DV Harmless and Lethality Form. Bouie refused medical treatment and to speak with a domestic violence advisor. However, officers stated that they did observed swelling to Bouie’s right jaw area.

Timothy Rankins was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault. His bond was set at $1,500.
