Man threatens girlfriend with a gun, bites her on the forehead after strangulation

47-year-old Bradley Adair was charged with domestic assault and aggravated assault after he strangled his girlfriend, threatened her with a gun to her head, and then bit her on the forehead, per report.

On September 4th, Shelby County Deputy Scheutz and Deputy Hankins responded to an aggravated assault at 7777 Walnut Grove Road. When deputies arrived, they could hear screaming and crying coming from Lot 112. Scheutz announced his presence and all of the sounds stopped. Bradley Adair opened the front door of the trailer and stated, “Everything is okay. My girlfriend is just upset about the renovations we are doing here.”

Hankins proceeded to detain Adair to secure the scene. Once Adair was detained, Janette McCracken appeared from inside of the camper. According to the affidavit, deputies observed abrasions to her forehead. McCracken was also sweaty and hysterical. The deputies offered medical attention, but she declined. McCracken stated that Adair had attacked her. She stated he strangled her, put a gun to her forehead, as well as, bit her forehead. Deputies observed a one to two-inch bloody abrasion on McCracken’s forehead. McCracken guided the deputy to the handgun used in the assault and they secured the Beretta handgun. Once the weapon was retrieved the deputy discovered there was not a round chambered, but the weapon was fully loaded. Adair denies all allegations against him stating there was no physical altercation just a verbal argument.

Bradley Adair was arrested and charged with domestic assault and aggravated assault. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
