30-year-old Eliana Mallett was charged with domestic assault when she grabbed the throat of her ex-girlfriend and slammed her to the ground after stealing her cell phone, per report.
On August 30th, Memphis Police Officers Talley-Payne and Diffee responded to a domestic violence call at 114 N. McLean Boulevard. Katelyn Richmann stated that she and her girlfriend Eliana Mallett had a verbal argument that became physical.
Richmann stated that she had ended her relationship with Mallett. Mallett became upset and took Richmann’s phone. When Richmann tried to retrieve her phone, Mallett grabbed her by the throat and threw her to the ground. Officers observed redness to Richmann’s neck and wrists.
Eliana Mallett was arrested and charged with domestic assault causing bodily harm. She was later released on her own recognizance.
