Man mixes his identity up with Andrew Jackson when police ask for ID #PublicIntox

39-year-old Andrae Bryant was charged with vandalism and public intoxication after trashing the 51 express Gas Station and claiming a $20 bill to be his ID.

On October 25th, Memphis Police Officers Medina and Payne responded to a drunkenness call at 51 express gas station located at 4140 Thomas Street. Upon arrival, officers observed Andrae Bryant stumbling and attempting to get into his vehicle. Officers spoke to witness, Awoke Asres, who reported Bryant entering the store and then immediately exiting.

When he entered again, Asres stated Bryant began yelling that he wanted his change even though he did not pay for anything. He then proceeded to throw merchandise all over the store and break the credit card reader. Officers then attempted to speak to Bryant, who had a strong odor of alcohol and glassy eyes. When asked for his ID, he handed over a $20 bill and for his keys, he showed a lighter.

Andrae Bryant was arrested and charged with public intoxication and vandalism. He was later released on a $750 bond.
