39-year-old Cody Cathey was charged with domestic assault after he got into an argument with his wife while driving down the road, and started hitting her.
On October 18th, Ashley Hibler told Memphis Police Officer Fair that she and her husband, Cody Cathey, were driving in the area around Interstate 240 and Getwell Road when they got into an argument on the day prior. She then told the officer that Cody started hitting her after the argument became heated.
Ashley had visible scratches on her neck and a small scratch on her hand. She later went to the Family Safety Center located at 1750 Madison Avenue, where she gave another statement and identified Cody as her attacker.
On October 19th, Cody Cathey was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $1,000 bond.
