The officers noted a smell of marijuana coming from the inside of the car and proceeded to pat down both Holmes and Rone. Officers reported a scale, a bag of Grape Squeeze that contained marijuana, and a baggie that contained four green and three multicolored pills in Holmes’ pockets. Some pills were classified as oxycodone and alprazolam, but not all were identifiable. Rone admitted to having a plastic baggie that contained 3.7 grams of marijuana in her purse. Officers also discovered a grinder in the center console as well as a Springfield Armory XD .45 caliber pistol in a diaper bag on the backseat floorboard, which was reported stolen in 2018. Neither of them claimed ownership of the weapon.
