27-year-old Brandon Miller was charged with domestic assault after he strangled his girlfriend for turning on the heat.
On October 26th, Memphis Police Officer Buchanan arrived at the residence of 469 Josephine Street in response to a domestic violence call. Upon arrival, Tyquenia Johnson informed Officer Buchanan she got into an argument with her boyfriend, Brandon Miller. Johnson said the argument began when she turned on the heat for the house.
She advised that Miller became upset, threw a blanket at her, and proceeded to put his hands around her neck. She stated she did not lose consciousness and Officer Buchanan did not see any noticeable injuries. After he tried to strangle her, Miller left the residence and was found walking on Midland Avenue.
Brandon Miller was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was later released on his own recognizance.
