31-year-old Marcus Bell was charged with domestic assault after he argued with his girlfriend when she did not pick him up from work and punched her in the face.
On October 26th, Memphis Police Officers Wilson and Hennessy arrived at the residence of 482 Marianna Street in response to a domestic violence call. Darnisha Crutcher advised officers she got into an argument with her boyfriend, Marcus Bell when he did not pick her up from work. She reported Bell grabbed her, punched her in the face, and threw her to the ground.
Darnisha stated she just wanted Marcus to leave and asked “does he have to go to jail?” When officers informed her that Marcus would have to be arrested, she refused to cooperate, would not answer questions, or take any pictures.
Marcus Bell was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was later released on his own recognizance.
