27-year-old Jordan Young was charged with DUI, reckless driving, and leaving the scene of an accident after he rear-ended another vehicle, ran away, and admitted to smoking weed after the police caught him.
On October 26th, Memphis Police Officers Tinson, Harris, Jones, and Norris responded to a hit and run at 4783 Hickory Hill Road. Upon arrival, officers were informed one of the drivers, Jordan Young, fled on foot after rear-ending another vehicle.
Young was discovered by the railroad tracks near 4763 Southridge Boulevard. He appeared to be breathing hard, staggering on his feet, sweating, and crying. He stated he just finished smoking weed and someone had robbed him. Young confirmed his vehicle, a 2019 Nissan Frontier, was involved in the accident and also refused any sobriety tests.
