Man strangles, punches, and spits on girlfriend for having an attitude

22-year-old Terrace Fields was charged with aggravated assault after he repeatedly punched his girlfriend in her stomach and strangled her when he felt like she had an attitude with him, per report.

On November 24th, Memphis Police Officer Hill arrived at the residence of 5242 Shelborne Circle in response to a domestic violence call. Upon arrival, Tyesha Green advised that she and her boyfriend, Terrace Fields, got into an argument because he believed she had an attitude. She reported Fields slapped her face and pushed her around the apartment.

According to the affidavit, he knocked her to the ground, bit her ear, and punched her repeatedly in the stomach. He then started strangling her until she was dizzy but not until she was unconscious. The officer noted scratches and bruises on Green’s neck as well as a scrape on the back of her right ear. After he was arrested, Fields admitted to hitting, strangling, and spitting on Green.

Terrace Fields was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. He was released on his own recognizance.
