27-year-old Mikeisha Lanier was charged with vandalism after she punctured a tire on her baby daddy’s uncle’s van after he told her that her child’s father was not present at the residence.
On October 3rd, the Memphis Police Department received a vandalism complaint from Joseph Harris. He advised that while he was at his rental house, located at 3120 North Watkins Street, Mikeisha Lanier arrived on the property looking for his nephew, the father of her child. He stated that he rented the house to his nephew but when he said he was not there, she got angry and started yelling profanities at him. According to the affidavit, he told her she needed to leave and went to the neighboring house, which he also owned, to collect his rent.
As he walked next door, he witnessed Lanier get out of her off-white Lexus with a knife in her hand. She then went to the front of his van and punctured his passenger-side tire, then proceeded to get back in her vehicle and leave the property. She was later identified by Harris in a photo lineup. The cost of the punctured tire was $100.
Mikeisha Lanier was arrested on November 20th and charged with vandalism. She was released on her own recognizance.
