Man threatens to shoot his own kids over girlfriend’s other lover

26-year-old Jodeci Reeves was charged with possession of a firearm during a felony and three counts of aggravated assault and aggravated kidnapping after police say he held his children and their mother at gunpoint, threatening to shoot them if she did not take him to her other boyfriend’s house.

On November 27th, Memphis Police officers responded to a domestic disturbance call at the residence of 3319 Sinclair Lane. Upon arrival, Breanna Glosson advised she and her children’s father, Jodeci Reeves, as well as her two children, were in her car when they got into an argument about one of her sex partners.

She reported Reeves pulled out two firearms and demanded she drive to the other boyfriend’s house or he was going to shoot her, their children, and then himself. According to the affidavit, she was driving in the area of Thomas Street and SR-300 when Reeves fired his handgun out of the window and said he was going to shoot her in the stomach, whilst she was six months pregnant.

She stated he strangled her while she was driving and then told her to pull over. He proceeded to exit the car and she sped away to her house to call the police. When the officers arrived, they found an Anderson MFG firearm with a drum clip on the passenger floor of the vehicle.

Jodeci Reeves was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm during a felony and three counts of aggravated assault and aggravated kidnapping. He was released on a $75,000 bond.
