42-year-old Amy Edge was seen asleep in a gold 2014 Chevy Malibu behind the Marathon gas station on Elvis Presley Boulevard on April 22nd. When officers arrived, they found Edge inside the driver’s seat and Jesse Cogbill in the passenger. Officers received a notice that the Chevy Malibu was reported stolen by Charlie Caswell from his driving school. Law enforcement spoke with Caswell, and he provided officers with a video of Edge and Cogbill stealing the vehicle. Edge and Cogbill were transported to booking, where they spoke with investigators. Both of them waived their Miranda Rights and admitted to stealing the car. Amy Edge was charged with theft of property.
Amy K. Edge of Washington Ave in Memphis, TN, was booked into the Shelby County Jail on April 22nd, charged with theft of property. She was released on her own recognizance.
