29-year-old Tiara Jones was caught stealing out of a Walgreens on Airways on March 31st. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Justin Sherrod, a Walgreens employee, who stated that Jones walked into the store and stole numerous items totaling $115. Sherrod captured a picture of Jones on his cellphone, which he showed to officers. On April 2nd, Tauwanna Hammer, the manager of Walgreens, said she recognized Jones from previous shoplifting in the store. Hammer identified Jones to officers as the person who stole the items. Jones was taken into custody on April 21st for theft of merch and burglary of a building.
Tiara S. Jones of Royal Oaks CV in Memphis, TN, was booked into the Shelby County Jail on April 21st, charged with theft of merchandise and burglary. A judicial commissioner set her bond at $1,000.
