Amber Bennett booked after stealing $121 worth of items from a business in 2022

45-year-old Amber Nicole Bennett, also known as Robin Nicole Vandiver, tried to steal merchandise from a Raleigh Lagrange Road establishment on April 27th, 2022. Loss prevention officer Kenneth Preyer observed Bennett scanning items using false UPC information before passing the point of sale with $121.86 of items. Then, Preyer stopped her and detained her until officers arrived. On April 29th, 2022, she was cited for the occurrence. Bennett was booked on the citation of theft on May 20th, 2024.

Alycia Hernandez strikes boyfriend with water bottles during altercation

23-year-old Alycia Hernandez had a domestic incident with her boyfriend, Houston Jackson, at their South Landing Way residence on April 2nd, 2023. When officers arrived, they spoke with Jackson, who stated that Hernandez struck him with water bottles and punched him in the back, leaving bruises and abrasions. A warrant was issued for her arrest on April 3rd, 2023. Hernandez was taken into custody for domestic assault on May 18th, 2024.

Alexus Pettis threatens woman in front of police, tells her she was going to “beat her a**!”

28-year-old Alexus Lavette Pettis had an altercation with Dneshia Anderson at her Briercrest Lane apartment around 7:45 p.m. on May 16th. When officers arrived, they observed Anderson’s girlfriend walking inside Pettis’s apartment, so they went to detain her. As officers did this, Pettis started to threaten Anderson, saying she was going to “smack and beat her a**.” Officers asked her to stop, but she continued and told Anderson to leave. While waiting for her to leave, Pettis ran inside and locked officers out of her unit, where, according to Anderson, she hit her on the head. Pettis was taken into custody for assault on May 17th.

Janice Hill caught with cocaine in her bra after being admitted to hospital in critical condition

37-year-old Janice Hill was detained for vandalism at a Flora Avenue residence around 1:16 a.m. on March 22nd. Due to injuries sustained during the incident, she was transported to The Med, where her condition was deemed to be critical, and they admitted her to the hospital. While being assessed, a doctor found a bag with 1.1 grams of a white powdery substance, later identified as cocaine, in her bra area. Hill was taken into custody for simple possession on May 16th.

Cheri Maher booked after trespassing & threatening cashier at Desoto Liquor

36-year-old Cheri Maher threatened the cashier, Frances Parker, at Desoto Liquor on Waring Road late April 20th. Parker reported to police that Maher entered the store around 9:30 p.m., during which she advised her that she had been banned from the property and provided her with the documentation. Parker said that Maher started shouting and screaming that she would cause bodily harm to her, causing her to fear for her safety. Parker added that she has had negative experiences with Maher after having her removed from the store. On April 27th, Maher entered the establishment and threatened Parker again when she asked her to leave. Officers confirmed that Maher had been given AOA documentation served to her on January 28th, 2024, prohibiting her from coming to the location. Parker identified Maher out of a six-person lineup and a warrant was issued for her arrest. Then, Maher was taken into custody for criminal trespass and assault on May 16th.   

Laura Gipson flees police in Infiniti G37, caught with meth & marijuana

36-year-old Laura Ashley Gipson was taken into custody for evading arrest, simple possession, felony possession, false reporting, and unlawful drug paraphernalia on May 15th. Around 5:16 p.m., deputies were called to the Sycamore View Road Fairview Inn regarding a possible drug violation. When officers arrived, they noticed a gray Infiniti G37 with dark window tint traveling northbound on Sycamore View Road toward I-40. Officers caught up to the G37 near Summer Avenue and activated their emergency equipment for a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled. During the pursuit, the Infinity’s windows were halfway down, and officers observed a white female with sandy brown hair, later identified as Gipson, as the driver. Later, officers located the G37 backed into the Fairview Inn parking lot and surveilled it. As officers watched the vehicle, a white female, Gipson, wearing a red shirt and shorts, approached the vehicle, opened the rear driver-side door, and grabbed a purple Bass Pro shop bag and a grey backpack with blue trim from the car. Officers converged on the vehicle and detained her. A subsequent search led to them finding a glass pipe, a baggy with 1.2 grams of marijuana, and a bag with 1.2 grams of methamphetamine. Even though officers reviewed footage showing her operating the vehicle, Gipson denied driving the car. Then, she gave them “Sheila Hamby’s” social security number before officers positively identified her. Gipson then admitted to fleeing from the traffic stop and was detained for the occurrence.

Keisha Williams caught at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital using ambulance driver’s credit card

On May 15th, 35-year-old Keisha Williams was caught using a stolen credit card at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. While on the scene of an emergency, Brooke Trentham, an ambulance driver, was preparing a juvenile for transport. Williams was seen in the front passenger seat of the ambulance. Trentham did not realize Williams was in the ambulance until she was driving, so she stayed in the front until they arrived at the hospital. Shortly after arriving at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, Brooke began getting notifications on her phone that her Bank of America card was being charged for multiple purchases around and in the hospital. Brooke could not find her Bank of America Card and proceeded to check her backpack in the ambulance, but she could not find it. Brooke then immediately informed officers, who made the scene quickly and located Williams, who was inside the ER with her daughter. Officers requested Williams to step outside, and as she left, she handed her daughter a cell phone and credit card. Officers noticed the card and identified it as Trentham’s stolen card. Williams was then taken into custody for theft.

George Milam caught with crack cocaine & marijuana in her purse during traffic stop

50-year-old George Genia Milam drove a white Lexus with tags from a 2014 Honda near North Graham and Kingsbury Road in the early hours of February 8th. Officers observed this and conducted a traffic stop, where they spoke with Milam, who stated she did not have insurance on her vehicle and provided them with a paper copy of her driver’s license. Officers ran her license through NCIC and discovered her license was suspended because she failed to appear in court on June 24th, 2023. Police then noticed a glass crack pipe protruding from Milam’s pack of Newport cigarettes. Officers then asked Milam to step out of her vehicle, and detained her. Officers found a small baggie with 4 grams of crack cocaine and .8 grams of marijuana in her purse. Milam was taken into custody for two counts of possession of a controlled substance, failure to provide financial responsibility, vehicle registration violation, and possession of drug paraphernalia on May 15th.

Iesha Husband booked after causing disturbance at Valero Gas Station

32-year-old Iesha Yvette Husband caused a disturbance at the E. H. Crump Boulevard Valero Gas Station on February 21st. When officers arrived, they observed her loitering on the property, harassing customers after they had advised her to leave and not return. Officers followed her into the establishment, escorted her out of the store, and detained her for the incident. A bench warrant was issued for her arrest on May 10th. Husband was taken into custody for criminal trespass on May 15th.

Juliet Martindale grabs boyfriend by neck during argument

20-year-old Juliet Martindale was involved in a domestic altercation with her boyfriend, Darrius Jones, at Tarry Wood Drive residence on October 19th, 2023. Jones told officers that Martindale became mad at him and grabbed him by his neck, causing scratches on him. Officers observed the scratches and photographed them. Jones identified Martindale by name and date of birth. A warrant was issued, and Martindale was taken into custody for Domestic assault on May 14th, 2024.
