23-year-old Akira Campbell was caught stealing by officers at a Target near Colonial Road on April 26th. He also stated that he saw Christina loading up merchandise and leaving early, acting as a lookout. Smith claims that after Christina left, Johnson and Akira fled the store with the merchandise, placing items in a tan Buick before driving away.

Officers in the area were advised they were driving the vehicle and initiating a traffic stop. When officers made contact with the vehicle, they immediately noticed new baby clothes and various items in Akira’s lap, who was in the passenger’s seat. Christina, the vehicle owner, was in the backseat of the vehicle, and Johnson was the driver. Officers detained all three women and proceeded to search the trunk of the vehicle, in which they located a large number of baby clothes and items valued at $1716.66.

Upon arrival at the station, Christina refused to answer questions pertaining to the theft but stated she owned the vehicle that was used for the theft. Akira stated that she didn’t remember the crime happening and didn’t do anything.
