Alexus Ware assaults boyfriend after she finds him texting other women

23-year-old Alexus Ware was involved in a domestic incident with her boyfriend, Deundre Briggs, at a Marsonne Street residence on April 27th, 2024. When officers arrived on the scene, they spoke with Ware, who stated that she saw Briggs had been texting other women. She asked Briggs about the messages, which led to an argument, so she tried to get her things and leave, but Briggs grabbed her items and prevented her from leaving.

Ware then claimed that Briggs grabbed her by the neck and pinned her against the wall before he threw her and the rest of her stuff outside the residence. Officers noticed that Ware had no bruising or marks on her body but had bruising on the back of her arms and minor cuts on her arm and finger. Officers then spoke with Briggs, who stated that Ware had gone through his phone and observed him talking to another woman. Briggs then claimed Ware threw his phone at him and began to hit him several times. He then told her to grab her items and leave, and as he picked them up to set them outside, she assaulted him once more.

Briggs admitted that he picked Ware up and placed her outside before officers arrived. The officers observed his injuries and reviewed a video that captured the moment that Briggs asked Ware to leave. Officers noticed that he had an injury to his eye, his shirt was stretched, and that he had a cut on the inner part of his lip. Officers deemed Ware to be the primary aggressor, and she was taken into custody for domestic assault.
