67-year-old Gerald Hamilton was charged with two counts of domestic assault when his son Jeremy reported to officers that Gerald threatened him with a bottle of booze and struck his granddaughter in the head.
On March 11th, Officers Harris and Jones were dispatched to a domestic call at 4925 Dianne Drive. They met with Gerald Hamilton, his son Jeremy Hamilton, and granddaughter Hailey Hamilton. Jeremy told officers that Gerald had been incessantly shoving his finger into his face. When Jeremy told his father to get out of his face, it prompted Gerald to swing at him. The jab instead connected with Hailey’s head.
The younger Jeremy, who is Jeremy’s son and Gerald’s grandson, attested to witnessing Hailey’s assault. Officers did not observe injuries and the elder Jeremy declined medical attention for himself or Hailey. Jeremy also told authorities that Gerald threatened him many times with a booze bottle in his hand yelling “I will bust your motherfucking head!” According to the affidavit, officers indeed reported that Gerald Hamilton was “extremely intoxicated.”
Gerald Hamilton was charged with two counts of domestic assault. He was later released on his own recognizance.
