18-year-old Marquez Jones was charged with carrying a weapon on school property after posting a video on Snapchat.
On February 28th, Officer Montgomery responded to a call regarding a weapon law violation at the Memphis Academy of Health Sciences High School on Chelsea Avenue. Upon arrival, the officer was advised that Marquez Jones had brought a gun to the school and he posted a Snapchat video showing it. A student notified the school’s administration. Marquez was located and his backpack was searched, where the gun was found.
Marquez Jones was arrested and charged with Carrying Weapon on School Property. His bond was set at $5,000.
