45-year-old Willie Rogers was charged with aggravated assault when he strangled his girlfriend and when she came to told her “I’ll kill you” before asphyxiating her to the point of unconsciousness again.
On May 15th, Officers McCarthy, Malone and Farrington were distpatched to 5366 Sparrow Wood Lane in regard to an assault. According to the affidavit, Willie Rogers and girlfriend of three years Cheryl Gaffney were arguing when Rogers got physical.
Ms. Gaffney told authorities that Rogers strangled her until she lost consciousness and once she came to Rogers told her “I’ll kill you” and asphyxiated her again. When she revived the second time she secured her children and escaped the home.
Willie Rogers was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and is jailed in lieu of a $55,000 bond.
