43-year-old Nita Benton was charged with ten counts of aggravated assault when she rammed several vehicles with hers and then tried to run over a total of ten people, per report.
On May 13th, around 4:30 pm MPD officers arrived at a disturbance call at 2342 Lowell Avenue. Police were approached by ten victims telling them that Nita Benton tried to run them over in her white GMC Acadia. Two of the victims, Makiya Holloway and Ebonie Burns, had injuries as a result of Nita ramming their vehicle with hers.
Emily and Octavious White were not injured but were also rammed by Nita in their 2009 Chevy Malibu. The other victims were in or around a white Ford Focus that Nita rammed in an attempt to run them over.
Nita Benton was arrested and charged with ten counts of aggravated assault. Her bond was set at $60,000.
