21-year-old Derek Garner was charged with domestic assault when his mom told him his friends had to leave and he told her “Bitch I will burn this motherfucker down and kill you” before strangling her and punching her in the face.
On May 4th, Deputies Bramlett, Haydari and Harris were dispatched to 7865 Parkmont Drive for a domestic situation. According to the affidavit, Cynthia Tyson was in the yard when officers arrived.

Ms. Tyson told officers that Derek Garner’s friends are not welcome at the home and when she got home that evening her son was in a car with a friend. During the argument that ensued, Tyson said that Garner told her “Bitch I will burn this motherfucker down and kill you” before strangling her and punching her in the eye.
Derek Garner was arrested and charged with domestic assault. His bond was set at $20,000.
