Frayser resident beats girlfriend and her brother with fist and broken pipe

33-year-old Joshua Teal was charged with two counts of assault after he hit his girlfriend in the face then struck her brother twice in the neck with a broken pipe, per report.

On June 1st, Officer Joyner was dispatched to a possible domestic violence call at 3079 St. Charles Drive. Upon arrival, Joyner made contact with Keashia Hopkins. Hopkins informed law enforcement that she had been drinking with her boyfriend, Joshua Teal. Teal became angry at Hopkins amidst their drinking, responding to his anger by striking her in the face numerous times.

He proceeded to grab a broken pipe and holding it against the neck of Hopkins’ brother, Robert Harris. Harris was then hit twice in the neck by the pipe. Both victims claimed to be in fear for their safety but declined medical treatment. Teal was then taken into custody for two counts of assault. Hopkins later signed and completed a hold harmless agreement.

Joshua Teal was arrested and charged with two counts of assault. His bond was set at $3,000.
