Woman tells cops she shot husband because she was afraid of him; per report

48-year-old Delinda Bogan was charged with aggravated assault when she shot her husband with a .22 during an argument. She said he threatened to kill her and she shot him because she was afraid.

On June 9th, Officers Truitt and Adams were dispatched to 2310 Alameda Avenue in response to a domestic assault. According to the affidavit, officers immediately found Wayne Bailey on the floor of a bedroom with a wound that looked to be a gunshot.

Bailey explained that during a verbal altercation his wife Delinda Bogan had shot him with a 22 caliber RG Industry revolver. At 170 North Main, Bogan gave a statement advising that Bailey had told her “you must don’t think I’ll kill you” Delinda said because she was afraid, she shot him.

Delinda Bogan was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. Her bond was set at $10,000.
