Couple pulled over for missing license plate found with a gun and 49.7 grams of weed

20-year-old Gabrielle Moore was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of marijuana with intent, and possession of a firearm during a felony and 21-year-old Christopher Faulkner was charged with felon in possession of a handgun, driving while license suspended, and violation of financial law after being pulled over for driving with no license plate on the vehicle.

On June 25th, Officers Williams, Freeman, Bustamante, Martin, Hurst, and Hall stopped a cream-colored 1994 Nissan Maxima at Debby Street and Whitney Avenue. According to affidavits, the car did not have a license plate and when approached smelled exceptionally dank. It was determined that Christopher Faulkner, the driver, had a suspended license.

When passenger Gabrielle Moore stepped out of the vehicle, it was discovered that she was nesting two bags of weed weighing 49.7 grams. After both occupants were detained a search of the car produced a Hi-Point 9mm handgun. Moore claimed ownership of the cannabis but denied the firearm. Faulkner told authorities he was ignorant of all the contraband.

Gabrielle Moore was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of marijuana with intent, and possession of a firearm during a felony. She was later released on her own recognizance.

Christopher Faulkner was arrested and charged with felon in possession of a handgun, driving while license suspended, and violation of financial law. His bond was set at $3,000.
