“I messed up, I did it, I put hands on her” says boyfriend charged with domestic assault

27-year-old Catraceon Morris was charged with domestic assault when he pulled his girlfriend’s hair, struck her, and then attempted to strangle her after she caught him texting other females.

On July 22th, Officers Henderson and Matthews responded to a simple assault call at 4088 Saint Pierre Blvd, Grahamwood Apartments. Upon arrival, they observed Catraceon Morris running eastbound. Victim Marquesha Johnson flagged officers down and stated Morris, who was her boyfriend, had assaulted her. Officers had already received multiple calls on the disturbance. Officers then made contact with Morris in front of 4096 Saint Pierre Blvd and detained him.

While walking back to the squad car Morris kept stating, “I messed up, I did it, I put hands on her”. Johnson stated she was at Morris’ apartment when she observed him texting other females. Morris began to be argumentative and then began assaulting her. Johnson stated he then started to strike her multiple times in the face above her right eye and forehead, Morris then pulled Johnson’s hair. Johnson stated she fled the apartment to her vehicle. Morris shoved her into the vehicle, attempted to strangle her, grabbed her iPhone 7, and smashed it on the ground.

Catraceon Morris was arrested and charged with domestic assault. His bond was set at $2,500.
