Guy stuffs pants with $10.97 of merchandise for 4th theft charge within 2 years

20-year-old Jack Guy was charged with theft after he was caught stuffing his pants with $10.97 of merchandise from The Home Depot.

On September 9th, Memphis Police Officer Ross was dispatched to The Home Depot at 1627 Poplar Avenue in response to a shoplifting call. Snider, the Home Depot Loss Prevention Officer stated that Jack Guy was witnessed removing headphones from their packaging, concealing them in his pants, and making an attempt to leave without paying for them.

The headphones had a total value of $10.97. A search of Guy’s criminal history showed that he had attempted three thefts in the past two years, once in July of 2019 and twice in August of this year.

Jack Guy was arrested and charged with theft of property under $1,000. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $1,500 bond.
