Man makes second attempt on girlfriends life in under a week

27-year-old Jonathon Johnson was charged with two counts of aggravated assault after driving his car into a vehicle driven by his pregnant ex-girlfriend, which caused her to crash.

On September 11th, Memphis Police Officers arrived at 3830 Ajanders Drive in response to a domestic disturbance. On the scene, Johnisa Carr told officers that she had been involved in a disturbance with her ex-boyfriend, and father to her unborn child, Jonathon Johnson. Reportedly, Johnson took a temporary tag from Carr’s Honda Accord at Kroger, and Carr noticed she was being followed by Johnson in a separate vehicle.

When both vehicles entered the area of Frayser Boulevard and Schoolfield, Johnson started to drive his vehicle into the one Carr was driving. Carr’s vehicle spun out and hit the mailbox of 3830 Ajanders Drive as well as a truck that was parked there. The homeowner of the address, Donald Edward witnessed Johnson drive into Carr. He said that her vehicle spun out, and Johnson pushed her vehicle into the mailbox and truck. Johnson claimed that he was following Carr, but only hit her vehicle by accident. He was arrested at 3631 Fiat Cove after the accident.

On September 12th, Jonathon Johnson was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $30,000 bond.
