65-year-old Guy Hearne was charged with domestic assault causing bodily harm after he sprayed his wife with what she believed to be bug spray causing a rash on her mouth and neck.
On September 12th, Memphis Police Officers Roberts and Lowe were dispatched to MedPost Urgent Care at 1941 South Germantown Road in regards to a simple domestic assault. Tunam Hearne stated that she had been continuously sprayed with an unknown chemical that she believed to be bug spray by her husband, Guy Hearne. Guy had taken Tunam to MedPost on September 6th, however, the nurses saw no sign of abuse at the time.
When Guy took Tunam back to MedPost on September 12th due to her saying that she felt ill, the nursing staff observed a rash covering her neck and mouth. Germantown Police Officer Evans made the scene until Memphis Police Offers arrived. Officer Evans stated that Guy was on the scene standing by a 2017 Lexus. Memphis Police placed Guy Hearne into custody and Officer Evans returned Tunam to her home.
Guy Hearne was arrested and charged with domestic assault causing bodily harm. He was released on his own recognizance.
