24-year-old Ander Lopez was charged with DUI, no driver’s license, and violation of financial law after hitting a Lexus E33 with his Chevrolet Silverado, and police found open beer cans inside his truck.
On October 24th, Memphis Police Officer Smith responded to a driver under the influence at 3694 Durrand Drive. Security Samuel Dixon advised that Ander Lopez came into the complex in a Chevrolet Silverado and struck a Lexus E33 owned by Roy Robinson. The security detained Lopez because they believed he was under the influence of alcohol.
Upon arrival, officers performed a nystagmus test on Lopez who also had bloodshot watery eyes, slurred speech, had a hard time standing up, and was incoherent. Lopez admitted that he had been drinking a little bit and in the vehicle was a case of beer with some of the cans open. Standard field sobriety tests were not given for Lopez’s safety.
Ander Lopez was arrested and charged with DUI, no driver’s license, and violation of financial law. He was released on a $500 bond.
